Since I’ve become a bit of a mole lately (the animal not the exciting sexy kind) yesterday was the first drunk I’ve been in about two or three weeks. Self-proclaimed wine expert and hedonist this leaves me in a sort of record-breaking zone which I’m delighted to finally experience.
Anyways. Ten girls and one of the best ones I know getting married called for dedication so I obviously did my part.
So did she. What a lady. Graceful day-drunkenness at it’s finest.
Naturally I’ve barricaded myself inside for the rest of today, laughing at the sun and everyone in it. I’ll eat my ice cream from the comfort of my own couch thank you very much. Christmas 2018, you are most welcome. Me nor my plants need warmth or daylight to survive and only one of us water and wine.
This sun isn’t agreeing with my baby facial hair either and I’m suddenly very respectful of the women out there fierce enough to walk into a parlor and waxing it off. I’ll rather just leave mine to be honest. The shame of having it and being ashamed of it paying to get someone else removing it seems bigger to me, personally, than just having it and owning it whilst silently disowning it. I remove a lot of unwanted hair on my body but draw the line at armpits.
Actually, come to think of it, it’s the rising temperature and social pressure that comes with it that’s really my issue. Sun-and daylight is fine as long as it’s about 5 degrees celsius.
I can’t wait for my head hair to get longer. I wonder if it’ll be long enough for a ponytail this summer.. I wonder what kind of summer this will be.. Ah, the pressure of sun and summer! Cannot even with it today and am going back to my tv. Very happily so. Happy as a clam. In her pajam.
What’s an exciting sexy mole? O.o
espionage
You’re not supposed to tell us you’re a spy! ;P
I suddenly found some small blackish chin hairs (not that noticable) on my chin and i was shocked, only shocked because i never realized they were there before!
A subject at work came up of arm hair betwen me and other female coworkers, it was interesting because they say they shave theirs off. I think thats sort of ridiculous no? But its good for people to be happy with themselves. Im happy with my blonde armhairs lol.
Have a good day today!
Good for you! As long as we do what we want!
I was born in April and am happiest in April weather. Is there anything in that??
When I was a child, I had very blonde hair, white pale skin and cobalt blue eyes (the milkman must have been a Viking) so I do not do well in hot weather (I don’t like it too cold though either…..April weather thing again).
As an aside, have you ever tried landscape photography by moonlight Viktoria?
Interesting.. Since I’m born in January and tend to love January weather. Probably would have anyway, but I like it, coincidences like this.
Landscape photography..? As in looking at them or taking them?
Taking them. You have the talent, an eye for beauty, the equipment and the scenery. (Outside Bergen if I remember correctly and I bet it is more urban than in 1980)!
It is a way of seeing the world anew possibly? I once saw some paintings of moonlight scenes (Waddesdon Manor I think) and they were very impressive. The quality of the light shows everything in stark, chill contrast……the visual equivalent of chewing a lemon.
I will have to pursue the ‘birthday’ theory then…..
Not really into that kind of photography. But yeah, obviously there are a lot of beautiful photographers out there
I see some people use very long exposures and actually get results in colour. It is still a different light quality though. I suppose it could be used for portrait photography as well??? (Hold very still….like old fashioned photography).
I hope I have an eye for natural beauty but I lack all of the other prerequisites sadly. Oh well…..
I was also born in January, i love the month and it is the most special.
There are three authors names to go on the scientific paper then! Ha ha.
About 600 miles (1,000 Km) away from Bergen (behind my neighbour’s conifer trees:- isn’t G.P.S. a wonderful thing) and I was up to 32 degrees Centigrade indoors at lunchtime! Aaagh! Hardly April weather!
I think that Norwegians are lucky. They actually get cold summers. (cold to me, at least) Where I live, it’s above 100 degrees fahrenheit (about 37 celsius according to Google) every day of the summer, unless it’s raining, which doesn’t really happen very often considering I live in a desert and all.
I personally have given up on shaving my legs. Razor refills are so expensive, and when you shave your legs, it’s more of making others comfortable rather than making yourself comfortable. I try to do things because I want to, not because society wants me to. Though I’m starting to realize that I am still searching desperately for approval from others in everything I do, which I’m not too happy about. If they don’t want me to wear a huge plaid bow around my neck, then that’s their problem. (Though when I did that people actually really liked it. Shit, there I am again looking for approval.)
The struggle is real isn’t it? All we can do is remind ourselves to do whatever the fuck we want!
Cold weather, ice cream and tv. Me like a
LOT. Sounds a very good plan to me. (Sad that i was born in a country were 10 months of the year is so cold that my face melts from my head)
I meant hot, is soh hot that my brain don’t even work correctly. Heat exhaustion…
Anybody wanting to know what life in Norway is like will be pleased to know that N.R.K. have provided an informative short video on youtube called
‘To Norway. Home of Giants’.
Have a good weekend (let us hope it cools down, if not, stay indoors and watch the video perhaps)!
That calm after a big night? When you wake up and nothing else in the world matters but how you relate to the bed or the couch and how good that feels?!
