I love Fridays

When you’re working really hard. At least you’re supposed to.. So you stuff your face with chocolate, open up a bottle of red that’ll trigger your rosacea thinking it’ll jumpstart your creativity you know you have deep, deep, deep inside..

(and yes, I’ve been wearing this Harry Potter sweater for three days)

But you fail.

Nothing.

So now you’re just drinking wine watching Modern family standing by the ironing board for so long Netflix has to ask you multiple times if you’re still there… watching.

I give up.

Unplugging the iron and stepping away from ma hammer (because one shouldn’t operate heavy machinery whilst drinking) and sitting down with the actual intent of sitting down.

Hopefully starting fresh tomorrow! Hope you’re having a great weekend!

Like me.

Its always good to take a step back from our art when we are at a block. I find sleep really helps me, the other day i painted until about 3 am and when i woke up after about 6 hours i looked at it and thought. “What the hell is that” now i know what to improve on it. So yeah, kick back and relax, it will come to you!

I love when you come back to something a day or two later and it looks like it could’ve been made by somebody else! That perspective change is really useful.

True. Just not very ideal when you have a deadline. But that’s just the way it is 🙂

Yes yes that came across my mind when writing it out 😬. At least we can learn and better ourselves for next time 😌

    Oh gosh, know that feeling!

Gotta just let yourself have some ‘off’ time. So easy to feel like you need to be doing constantly and get all stressed. I would like to write a poem every day, or get better with my bass, or be good enough at both to write a song… but you’ve been to work, you’ve done your chores, you’re tired, oh well, Netflix. 😛

I worry about time slipping away unused but it doesn’t change anything, just got to be more zen! 🙂

Everybody’s happier with wine and chocolate anyway.

Everybody is! haha. I have no problem with taking a step back though.. It’s a part of creating something. Just doesn’t work well with deadlines 🙂

Ugh deadlines, oh well. Good luck finding your inspiration and getting things done! 🙂
