Last week I got attacked by this easterbunny because my reflexes are too strong and it suddenly plunged into death when I tried to open up the window.
Some nerve. I couldn’t move my hand for several days (it hit some nerves) and some of the splints pierced just about right through my hand. Felt like Chance in Homeward Bound at the vet and still have some pieces left squatting inside of me as we speak.
Not only does nature fail you at times, man-made stuff does too and are way more frustrating. At least the plant has a reason and purpose for this attitude that is to protect itself from the elements.
This is just plain stupid.
Why the actual fuck would someone seal something Oh, so fragile as aluminum foil with a one centimeter stubborn piece of tape? Astonishing. Leaves you with this shit.
And there ain’t no way my pita was gonna fit into either side of those skinny bitches. No wonder our environment’s going to shit. We don’t care. Waste? Problem?
I figured there’s no way all of this is coincidental (the shower enclosure, the bunny in the windowsill, the foil.. not to mention the side of my bed who’s provided me with a juicy bruise at the exact same spot on my upper left thigh for as long as I remember).
My surroundings are clearly attacking me. So I saged the place. To the point of actually feeling a bit high. At least my placebo is intact after all this realness and I could enjoy some inner peace, if only for a couple of minutes.
It felt good. The place feels good. It is easter, after all. If not now when is it more appropriate to be reborn?
Happy easter everyone!
Viktoria. I am so sorry you were so badly savaged by your cactus (happened to me but not as badly, when I was a child as my father used to grow them….he has been dead five years now and I still have not plucked up the courage to tackle the ‘hazardous waste’ in his greenhouse….they still have spines)!
I thought it was just me with the tin-foil. When I was at school, I remember reading a parchment that said something like. ‘With it’s abundant hydro electric resources and rich veins of bauxite, Norway is a major producer of aluminium’…I wonder if you could make your own tin-foil? (Ha-ha).
What about toilet rolls where the perforations between the plies do not line up until you get half way through them or the bag of flour or sugar that sprays it’s contents everywhere when you unseal the top glued seam.
I have an 1896 Singer Sewing Machine that still sews perfectly (caravan curtain linings and deck chair canvas if anybody wonders, I am a ‘grease and garden soil under the fingernails bloke after-all).
A 1930’s runner bean slicer that still slices runner beans and quite a collection of other old bits of kit that still work perfectly.
Some of the blame goes to Buckminster Fuller and his idea of ‘Ephemeralization’ being taken too far and environment bashing capitalism or designers who never intend using the thing they design.
Don’t get me started on instruction books written by people who know exactly how their product works but do not want you to (or assume you do already, which is just as bad).
Spleen vented, I am going to shut up now.

Ow savage cactus bites! I love that pot though, reminds me of Alex Grey’s art.
I’ve never seen foil taped like that before, weird. I’m sure you can find a use for those little pieces, Tiny foil balls to neuter your cactus spines maybe? 😛
I don’t think I’ve ever smelled burning sage before, I’m tempted to try it. I can imagine it’s quite lovely. If you like a good gemstone Black Tourmaline is good for your spirit and wards off evil!
It’s Jonathan Adler, the ceramic pot!
Oh, I’d not heard of him. Some nice looking stuff there!
There are natural elements in everything: the shower glass, made from sand, which is earth; the foil is aluminum an extract of ore from… the earth. I believe She is done with us at this level of population and is preying on us in order to cull the herd and replenish Her other resources. #Earth says #me too
Definitely.
Seems like a ‘So long and thanks for all the fish’ moment!
(Also I think there are far more deserving people than Viktoria for Nature’s revenge).

Hhhhhhaaahhh that tinfoil would have made me so unreasonably mad!
Hope you had a good easter (: and that you havent had any injuries since.
I just started my last term of 2 hear at my community college, will be transfering to a university with a study abroad program in norway.
Thats the dream anyway. (So far)
❤️❤️❤️
Tinfoil just makes me mad in general. Why have to use tinfoil when you could use a reusable container?? (I am into no-waste everything, though I know that it would be impossible for me to actually generate no trash. I am bad at reusing things.)
Same. it is hard though in today’s society to not end up with heaps of trash every day. Can’t even buy an avocado without plastic anymore..
Cacti are annoying in that way. They look all nice and then you accidentally touch one and you are in severe pain. It is especially bad if you get a piece of cholla stuck on you. I live in a desert, and there used to be a cholla in my front yard until some idiots decided to argue over text while caravanning, both in cars whose breaks weren’t working, and then crash into one another and drive up the hill that is in front of my house and then crash into the front wall. Cholla everywhere. They didn’t even offer to help clean it up. The wall was fixed. Nobody was hurt. It made me mad, though. Who on this Earth drives a car with broken breaks! It is common sense not to. (This didn’t happen recently, it’s just why I don’t have a cholla cactus in my front yard anymore. Sometimes it just seems like everything is trying to purposefully go wrong. Everything that could be bad is bad and everything that might be good is canceled because of a bad thing that happened. Like how moving your hand, which could be good, was prevented by the cactus falling on it, which is a bad thing. I write too long of comments. *Sigh)
I thought it was an excellent comment!
Hell if I knew that thing was going to turn maneater I’d have never have told you how to take care of it. I didn’t know the little one was playing The Roxy that’s a big deal to us hard rock and metal fans. Lots of history in that venue. She should walk nextdoor to the Rainbow and see if she can get a picture sitting on Lemmys barstool I think they enshrined it.
