Enough now tho, Christmas: you may enter

Current living room state. I am living in a jungle of fabric and dust. And I don’t even mind I’m so excited these days. Good things and heavenly energy is coming and I am definitely feeling myself and life itself.

Information you’ll definitely never use;

Did you forget or simply was on brink of having a full scale panic attack in that London-summer heat we all know, to ask to note composition of fabric whilst in indian family-owned fabric shop which was mind blowingly large, and are now left unsure if you’re dealing with silk or fucking acetate? Burn it and thee shall see.

Silk becomes ashy and leaves you with a burnt hair smell and expectations of a Phoenix rising from the ashes, while synthetic stuff will curl up in a hard black lump and smell like burnt rubber, no ashes.

There. You’re welcome.

I champagned pretty hard last night (girl needs a break from work even if it’s ever so exciting)

and am now about to indulge in some trash tv. Wish you a happy weekend. May the following months pass quickly so we may all enjoy the best time of the year again. Christmas.

    Happy Christmas Viktoria!!

Thank you for the lesson. Didn’t acetate Billiard Balls burst into flames whilst in play (bet that made for an interesting game) and I seem to remember silk has ballistic properties…..could be a useful selling point in the future perhaps (if Archduke Franz Ferdinand had been wearing his silk under garments, World War One would not have happened)????

As an aside, I have been wanting to ask you a very personal question….

Are some of the major roads in Norway still made of loose chippings which have to be raked every week or so?

Sorry to be so very intrusive…..(I have only been wondering this for the last 38 years)!

Keep up the good work on all fronts, it is much appreciated.
    Have a good weekend! <3 <3

Correction, it was Nitro Cellulose Billiard Balls that used to explode! That’s a relief, you can’t have people wearing explosive clothing ‘coming to grief’ in their social interactions (unless they are wearing silk under garments of course).

We should never let truth get in the way of a good story….

      Ha ah : )

Driveways perhaps.. Norway is basically one of the wealthiest countries in the world? We have asphalt.

Thank you Viktoria. Funny how we get these questions that don’t go away.
(We) suspected that it was probably not a matter of the nation’s wealth, more a matter of the specifications of the materials at the time; given that you have harsh winters and permafrost’s that might break up normal asphalt surfaces. I suppose either the technology has ‘come on’ or the winters are less severe. (Don’t forget it was the era of us in the UK killing your forests with acid rain then, not global warming…..can’t believe how tolerant ‘you’ were then of our selfish stupidity).. (There were also programmes on the TV talking about us heading towards an early ice age again. My goodness, I am old. I bet your parents do not even know of the things I speak of)!!

Yes, our roads sometimes crack, but you know.. we repair them

    Autumn first, blessed samhain. 😉

    Then Christmas!

Interesting tip for testing your materials. I’m surprised that the fake stuff is good enough to need testing to tell it apart tbh, But hey, they can make diamonds these days.

Good to see you enjoying yourself lately Vik. 🙂

Christmas is surely the best time of the year; not only is it a time of year when people are very happy and very nice, but it is wonderfully cold outside (at least where I live). So, happy early Christmas!

It looks like you are working on a very exciting sewing project, or multiple sewing projects if I use my mum’s kitchen table (when she’s sewing) as a reference. It is interesting that you can find out what kind of fabric you’re sewing with just by burning it, although I’m sure that most fabric stores should be required to label what type of fabric they are selling.

Have just noticed Viktoria, that is a massive extension you are having built onto your apartment. You do not do things by halves do you! Will you have moved in by Christmas do you think?

Are you familiar with our 55 year old sci-fi programme Dr. Who? After all that time, the Saintly Timelord is going to be played by a woman Jodi Whittaker. After your earlier post on Instagram, I am very excited the role is going to her….the best part on UK television! Can’t wait. (Do not know if the link will work due to copyright).

I don’t get it? Link -my Instagram and dr. Who?

And we’re not building anything? That’s a building in front of our buildings. How huge did you think our apartment was?

If I remember Viktoria, I think you were contemplating whether you would rather be a man than a woman or whether you would contemplate something ‘more drastic’ (I might be wrong…it’s my age) but Dr Who has a dilemma as to whether to call his life to an end (he has only regenerated about 15 (?) times since 1963 and is supposed to be something like 450 years old, oh and have two hearts) or not and he decides “To the Doctor I say goodbye” but he doesn’t bow out, he regenerated into a woman…..after having watched this programme since about 1964 (and hiding behind the sofa) it seems fantastically great that (It’s probably a British fictional thing) the most formidable power for good in the whole of space and time is……A WOMAN. Sorry if it seems a little tenuous as links go.
So don’t you go thinking about regenerating just yet will you. : ) (I don’t think I will …we are only ‘here’ once but how many times is ‘here,’ here’)?

As for the building….well, I saw the crane and the new walls…..and, well, you would be able to have even more space for drying your clothes, having massive parties, you could employ loads more Elves to help you with your clothes……you could even have a cactus garden; what’s not to like?? (Remember 2+2 sometimes = 5).

With regard to the roads, as it was in 1980 when we drove from Bergen to Bodo, I guess in some places the road infrastructure was variable….at least you get your roads repaired. If they get any worse in the UK, I will be buying a hovercraft!

Have a great weekend (and the Elves of course). <3 <3.

I know what panic attacks are. Today I had one. Rationally you understand that it will go. But when you are in it – it seems it will never stop.
Hold on there, Viktoria! I wish you have less panic attacks! Cheers!

Speaking of Christmas, what’s winter like in Oslo and Stockholm? Besides cold and dark that much I know. the reason I’m asking is that my doctor cleared me to take a job with a Private Military Contractor. Before you think I’m crazy I can make a six figure salary yearly and I’m very good at what I do. See I deploy for 90 days and then get 30 to 45 days off. I’ve got like a permanent visa in the EU because my employer has a headquarters in Dubai and Wiesbaden So I plan to do a lot of traveling when I’m not working there’s nothing for me in The States anymore. Or should wait to do the North in the summer and just lay on the beach in Mikonos in the winter.
